How do I order my cake?
Contact us for a consultation. Please let us know which of our cake flavours you would like to try.
Bring fabric from your dress or a picture of your flowers – anything that you think will influence your choice of cake design.
When should I order my cake?
You should order your cake at least 3 – 6 months in advance. We accept a limited number of orders for each week. If you need a cake more quickly than that please do contact us and we will accommodate you if we can.
Do I have to choose one of the designs on the website?
No. Our designs are there for inspiration and you may certainly choose one if you like, but please let us know your own ideas so we can make a cake that reflects the theme for your wedding.
Do you deliver the cake?
We can deliver cakes and set them up at your venue. Please ask for a quotation based on the distance we would have to travel and the time to be spent at the venue.
May I collect my cake?
Of course. Your cake will be packed in a sturdy box and will have instructions for assembly. Cakes should be stored in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight until they are needed. Fruit cakes can be collected a few weeks in advance but sponge cakes will not be available for collection until 2 to 3 days before the wedding.
I am only having a small wedding – must I have a small cake?
No. We can incorporate dummy tiers in your cake so that you can have a cake that makes an impact but does not leave you with more cake than you can eat!
I am having a large number of guests – what do I do?
We can make extra cutting cakes for you so that all your guests can taste your cake.
Cake Stands
We have a few cake stands available to hire – please ask for details.
What size cake should I order?
These are approximate serving numbers for finger portions and larger slices.
Finger portions are sized at 1” x 1” x 3” (depth of cake). Larger slices of cake could be served as a dessert, perhaps with an accompaniment such as fresh cream, fruit coulis or crème fraiche. If serving slices as dessert bear in mind that you will need to do the traditional cake cutting before sitting down to eat to give your caterers enough time to cut the cake. Slices are sized at 1” x 2” x 3”
